Övervaka Vänner is Swedish for over watch friends. Founded by 20 year retired Army Veteran Jason N and Army spouse of 16 years and two deployments Chelsea N. Together they have a special understanding of the hardships caused by deployments and how to adjust to life after the military.

Övervaka Vänner is a 501c3 organization. Our mission is to provide service and comfort dogs to our military members and first responders.

Övervaka Vänner is located in Sandwich Massachusetts. We service all of New England with our client specific training needs.

For Military members we need three things

1. DD214 to show dates of service. ( you do not need to be Veteran, if you took the oath we have your back.)

2. A letter from your counselor or doctor explaining how you could benefit from a service dog.

3. Your commitment to our Veteran service dog program.

For a department or school comfort dog have your SRO or school counselor reach out via email for details.

We are the only organization that continues training with dog and handler for the working life of the dog. Övervaka Vänner and Freedom Labradors work together to pair the handler and dog with the best temperament for their needs.
